mīsmo was a twinkling thought I had back in 2019 while struggling to make a very basic choice between a few dinner options. I'm a Libra Sun + Moon and apparently decision-paralysis is classic Libra. Making a choice on my own has always been tricky, but group decisions have been even worse. Usually I just choose whatever option keeps the peace ⚖️💅

Which restaurant should we go to?
What movie should we watch?
Where can we go for fun?

I felt like there had to be a way to make these daily micro-decisions easier and maybe even enjoyable. But the idea stayed in my Notes app - where many an idea have been abandoned and forgotten.

Over the next few years I brought up the concept of mīsmo to family, friends and colleagues. People agreed it could be fun and handy, but nobody was keen to start building it.

I could see mīsmo so clearly in my mind and was adamant I'd make it exist — even if it was just a janky app that I only shared with my family.

What I didn't expect was that I'd become obsessed with coding and designing and testing and well, playing. Every little crossed t and macron'd ī in this app are a result of fun times but also tedious trial, error and sleepless nights.

I'm so stoked to share mīsmo with the world and I hope there are folks out there that enjoy it as much as I do.
